The Spartans are back in Morzine!

With over 20 trails organized worldwide, including 5 events in Western Europe, the Spartan Trail is now a must-attend event for trail runners. Building on its success over the last 2 seasons, the Spartan Kids and Winter Trail are back on December 9 and 10, 2023, to kick off the Morzine winter season in style.

Winter Spartan Kids:

Just like the classic Spartan, an obstacle course will be specially designed for children. Taking place the day before the adult race, on Saturday, December 9, 2023. On the program; a course and obstacles specifically for them in the village, so they can challenge themselves and exceed their limits while having fun.

In the heart of the Alps, between forests, lakes and steep ridges, Spartan is offering two trail-type races with NO obstacles for this 3rd edition, to be held on Sunday, December 10, in Morzine: the 1st route will be a 10km race with 470 metres of ascent. The 2nd route is 21km with 1150 metres of ascent.

The Spartan France brand is no stranger to this playground, having organized France's biggest obstacle course gathering in Morzine every year since the summer of 2016.

"Better known for its obstacle races, Spartan has been developing its TRAIL series since 2020. Many of the participants in our obstacle races come from trail and running backgrounds. There are many bridges between these two worlds. By organizing our Spartan Trail series, we're responding to a demand from our community to enjoy more traditional races.
