Social Hikes In Les Gets and Morzine With Days Away Adventures
Looking to meet new people while exploring the mountains around Les Gets? We've teamed up with Days Away Adventuresto promote a brand-new series of social guided hikes throughout July and August, bringing together locals, visitors, solo travellers and anyone who enjoys walking in the mountains.

I will be joining the hikes, so if you've been following Love Morzine Les Gets and fancy meeting up on the trails, it would be great to see you there! Whether you're visiting the Portes du Soleil for a summer holiday, spending the season in the Alps, or simply looking for a relaxed group walk, these social hikes are designed to combine beautiful scenery, gentle exercise and good company.
First Social Hike

A Guided Mountain Walk
These social hikes are organised and guided by the qualified mountain guides at Days Away Adventures. During the walk they'll take care of the route finding while sharing their local knowledge of the surrounding mountains, including the area's alpine flowers, wildlife, birds and natural environment.
The route has been chosen to be enjoyable rather than challenging, making it ideal for anyone looking for an easy to moderate hike while meeting like-minded people along the way.
The aim is simple: spend an afternoon enjoying the mountains, chatting with fellow hikers and perhaps even making new friends. If people fancy it afterwards, there's also the option of staying for a relaxed drink or something to eat together.
Hike Details
Starting from 360 Outdoor in the centre of Les Gets, the walk heads towards the beautiful alpine hamlet of Mont Caly, one of the area's most scenic viewpoints overlooking the surrounding mountains.
There is an excellent mountain restaurant at Mont Caly if you'd like to stay for lunch after the hike. Alternatively, you can walk back to the village, take Le Petit Train, or return via the Mont Chéry Télécabine (one-way lift pass required).
Distance: 4.1 km
Ascent: 352 metres
Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
What to Bring
Please wear sturdy walking shoes, trail shoes or walking boots with good grip.
We recommend bringing:
At least 1 litre of water
Small rucksack
Snacks or lunch
Jumper or warm layer
Windproof or lightweight waterproof jacket
Sunglasses
Sun cream
Cap
Walking poles (optional)
Dogs
The Days Away Adventures dog will likely be joining the walk. She is a friendly, well-behaved older Border Collie. If you are uncomfortable around dogs, please contact Days Away Adventures more than 48 hours before the hike so alternative arrangements can be made. Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead throughout the walk.
