Previous editions, in 2023 at Portes du Soleil and in 2024 in Combloux , Megève , and Les Gets , were resounding successes, attracting more than 100,000 spectators each time. Building on this success, the Haute-Savoie Departmental Council continues to demonstrate its commitment to hosting major world-class sporting events, with the aim of establishing Haute-Savoie as a true land of cycling. Continuing on from its previous successes, the Haute-Savoie Departmental Council is doing everything it can to organize these events in an exemplary manner. In addition to organizing these mountain bike events , the department is also positioning itself as a key player in the preparation of the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships .

The Haute-Savoie Departmental Council does not limit itself to organizing major sporting events. It pursues an ambitious policy to promote the practice of sport throughout the territory. In 2024, more than 26.7 million euros were devoted to various projects: support for local events, development of sports infrastructure, assistance to departmental committees and clubs.

These actions aim to promote values such as education, integration and commitment, in order to make sport accessible to all.
