Every day brings a new destination, with routes carefully selected to showcase the incredible landscapes, panoramic viewpoints, alpine meadows and hidden gems that make the Portes du Soleil region one of the best hiking destinations in the Alps. From peaceful forest paths to spectacular mountain ridges, no two walks are the same.
One of the biggest advantages of joining an open group walk is the opportunity to enjoy the mountains with others while benefiting from the safety, knowledge and support of a professional guide. These walks are ideal for solo travellers looking to meet fellow hikers, visitors who want to explore beyond the resort villages, and anyone who prefers the reassurance of hiking in a group.
The walks are designed to be accessible for most reasonably active walkers. While mountain hiking naturally involves uphill climbs, descents and occasionally steeper sections, all routes are graded no higher than T2 difficulty. The trails are generally well-maintained, and your guides will always be on hand to provide assistance and ensure everyone enjoys the day.
Walking poles are strongly recommended and can often be borrowed if you don't have your own. The pace is always adapted to suit the group, and routes may occasionally be adjusted according to weather conditions or group ability to ensure the best possible experience.
Some walks are operated in partnership with local specialists, which is why prices may vary. In certain cases, part of the payment is made online when booking, with the remaining balance payable directly to the partner on the day.
