ALAM BIKE - Les gets

ALAMBIKE: THE CHARITY MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE IS BACK! On June 21 and 22, the charity endurance race for amateur mountain bikers and e-bike riders is back for its fifth edition. Teams will take turns riding for 24, 6, or 3 hours to complete as many laps as possible and raise as much money as they can for a charity that aims to make the dreams of sick children come true.

The Alambike is a 24-hour, 6-hour or 3-hour (your choice) mountain bike relay race, which can be completed as a team or individually. There are also events for young people (aged 6 and over) and special balance bike races (for children aged 5 and under). The event is organized by a local association, Les Wetzayers. From freestylers to event organizers, Les Wetzayers is a key player in the resort, with the aim of getting the village moving. Active since 2002, the association is known for its sporting events, which are friendly and always unique! This year, participants will be pedaling for Les Étoiles filantes, an association that makes the dreams of children with pediatric brain tumors come true and supports research. On site, a fun atmosphere will accompany athletes and spectators with free concerts, a refreshment stand, and entertainment throughout the event.

The Alambike is a fun event for teams of 4 to 8 people, families or friends!

A charity event combining mountain biking and fun, open to muscle bikes and electric bikes, mixed teams allowed.

For this fifth edition, there are different routes:

  • 24-HOUR RACE (AGES 16 AND UP): €69 per person (€79 from 05/08)

  • 3-HOUR RACE (12-17 YEARS): €20 per person (€25 from 05/08)

  • KIDS RACE (5-12 YEARS): €10 per child (€15 from 05/08)

  • DRAISIENNE EVENT (UNDER 5 YEARS): €5 per child to take part in a draisienne race!

Last year in 2024, more than 470 participants divided into 42 teams competed in all the events, covering more than 16,500 km and raising €12,000. This year, we expect to break all records with 700 cyclists expected to take part! The youth races are also a success, with more than 70 participants aged 5 to 17 taking part in specially adapted races and more than 50 “mini” riders on balance bikes.

The event's flagship race: the 24-hour relay, which can be entered as a team (4 to 8 people) or as an individual. Although several variations are available, the main route follows the legendary World Cup course. The 6-hour relay: in teams of 2 to 4 people or individually. Same route options as for the 24-hour relay.

New for this yaer : 3-hour relay in pairs. The pairs compete under the same conditions as the other two formats.

Kids' formats: different formats are available depending on age, ranging from the balance bike category to the U17 category (between 16 and 17 years old).
